Q: What do you recommend for hair and makeup? 

A: While so many of my seniors are skilled in DIY hair and makeup, professional makeup especially translates incredibly well to your final images. Letting pros do all the work will allow you to sit back, relax, and enjoy a little pampering before your senior portrait session. You will be in the hands of professionals who know exactly how to make you look your absolute best for your senior portraits. And knowing you look incredible will give you a little extra boost of confidence in front of the camera! I'm happy to recommend some amazing makeup artists like Rikki Feerrar for a truly pampering experience. 

Q: What will my session be like? 

A: I really love my sessions to be as unique as the people and families I am photographing.  We will work together prior to your session to come up with something perfect for you, the perfect setting, activity, or location to tell your story.  There are no limitations on wardrobe changes for full sessions.

Please plan on arriving 5-10 minutes early for your session. There are always last minute details to take care of (makeup to touch up, flyaway hairs to tame) and it’s best to have a cushion of time so these things won’t take up our shooting time. It also helps you relax a little before we get started. Most sessions are scheduled for the two hours before sunset to ensure the most flattering light.

Q: How many outfits can I bring?

A:  As MANY as you like! Our sessions are based on time, NOT on the number of outfits you are limited to. In general, we can typically photograph 2-4 outfits per hour, however this is entirely dependent on you. The more time you spend getting ready between outfits, the fewer outfits we will get to, and vice versa.

We encourage you to bring LOTS of options – we will assist you in selecting the best variety of looks to make your senior portrait session the best experience it can be. Be sure to check out my pinterest style guide to see some great fashion options for your senior portraits.

Q: I want to wear my hair two different ways – can I do that at my session?

Q: How long will it be until I get my images? 

A: If you are wanting to wear your hair in two distinctly different ways – such as curly and straight – we encourage you to book the deluxe senior session.

It will be 1-2 weeks from the time of your session before you will receive your images. You will be emailed a link to your online gallery where you can view, share, download, and order images. I usually post a preview on my Facebook or Instagram account within 48 hours of your session!
